In advance of opening Brutto Americano, a new Italian-inspired restaurant from Brian Burns and Reno De Ranieri of Osteria Lupo and Costera, the restaurant is hiring Front of House Managers. Brutto Americano is slated to open in late February. Applicants should be thoughtful team-players, with the ideal candidate displaying the following qualifications:
Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
Strong food and wine knowledge
Thorough knowledge of team service
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to handle multiple priorities
Knowledge of restaurant management software and POS systems
Working knowledge of OpenTable or Resy
Understanding of food, beverage, and labor costs and the ability to implement cost-control measures
Minimum of 5 years working in a restaurant setting. Additional certifications (ServSafe, TiPS, etc.) is preferred.
POS Micros and Microsoft Suites experience a plus
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
